Mrs. Katherine Clark Ray

January 22, 1955 — August 19, 2021

Mrs. Katherine Clark Ray, age 66 of Trion, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Floyd Medical Center.

Mrs. Ray was born in Franklin, Tennessee on January 22, 1955, daughter of the late John Thomas Clark and Dora Pearl Hill Clark.  She was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed playing cards, sitting on her porch listening to the birds, and gardening, but her favorite activity was spending time with her children and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by all of her brothers and all but two of her sisters.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Larry Coleman Ray; sons and daughter-in-law, Ernest Coleman Ray and Robun Ray, Christopher Lee Ray; daughter, Windy Ann Ray; sisters, Alice Clark, Ethel Guffey and Ann Clark; grandchildren, Kat Ray, Christopher Lee Ray, Jr., Candase Dian Ray, autumn Rose Ray, Haven Coleman Campbell and Avinlee Nichole Ray; great grandchildren, Christopher Lee Ray, III, Harmony Aurora Ray, Grayson Paul Stinson, Amelia Aubree Smith; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ray will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor David Hayes officiating.  The family will have a private interment at a later date.

Mrs. Ray will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
