Katheryn Lee Borman passed away peacefully in her home Tuesday, June 11th 2024 surrounded by her family. Kathy was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Kathy was born April 4, 1955 in Trion, Georgia, daughter of the late David Lively and Rosie Cagle. She was the eldest of three siblings and known for her gentle spirit and her deep love for her family. She never had a harsh word to say about anyone and devoted her life to serving the Lord and raising her family.
Kathy stayed at home until her youngest started school. She then went back into the work force and worked at Best Manufacturing for several years before joining the team at Roper Corporation. She retired from Roper after 22 years.
Kathy loved a house full of family and her happiest moments were the hustle and bustle when her six kids and 16 grandkids came and filled her home. She had a special place in her heart for each and every one.
Kathy was baptized at an early age and found the Lord. Her faith grounded her and she had a spirit of calmness and peace in the midst everything she endured. She had the most sweetest voice and kindest words to lift and encourage. She will be greatly missed by so many. If there is one verse that stands out to describe mom it is, Proverbs 31:26 “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
Kathy was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Best; two grandchildren, Logan Suggs and Matt Snider; sister, Lisa Cox and a brother, Gene Lively. She is survived by her children, Bobby and Julie Snider, Clay Borman, Tina and Michelle Snider, Jill Nichols(Bill White) and Jacy Borman; son-in-law, Tony Best; grandchildren, Jacob and CC Gill, Brooke and RJ Brown, Kinsey and Josh Ables, Karlah Snider, Gracie Borman, Cavryn Borman, Haley Nichols, Kenzie Nichols, Shawn Hightower, Josie and Justin Broyles, Taylor and Ian Crawford, Daulton Vaughn, Gavin Porter and Jonte Porter; numerous great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Kathy’s wishes, she will be cremated and there are no plans at this time for any formal services.
