Mrs. Kathryn Annette (Burton) Roper

Mrs. Kathryn Annette Roper, age 75 of Trion, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023 at a Rome hospital.

Mrs. Roper was born in Trion, Georgia on December 6, 1947, daughter of the late Ralph David Burton and Lenora Day Burton.  She was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church, where she was active in many of the church’s activities.  She was retired from the Floyd County Superior Court System, was a former member of the Red Hat Society and loved to arrange flowers.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roper was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Burton and Dorothy Burton; and two brothers, Jerry Burton and Leon Burton.

Mrs. Roper is survived by her husband, William Robert “Bob” Roper; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Angie Roper; sister, Margaret Manning; granddaughter, Ansley Roper; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebraton Life for Mrs. Roper will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall of the Trion First Baptist Church.

The family respectfully asks that no flowers or food be given, but those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Youth Department of the Trion First Baptist Church, 95 Church Street, Trion, GA  30753.
