Mrs. Kathy E. Mann

Kathy Mann of Summerville, Georgia was called home to be with Christ the Lord on Saturday, October 2. Kathy lived her life with purpose. She truly cared for others and constantly invested in the lives of  her friends and family. She considered everyone she met to be a friend with whom she could share laughter and stories.

Her intentional way of living resulted in many unique and powerful stories.  Kathy was gifted in recalling details that many may overlook and capturing the importance of both big and small events in people’s lives.  She testified often in church, praising God for His many blessings and tearfully requesting prayer for others.  She loved Jesus beyond measure and loved to talk about what he had done in her life.

Kathy’s heart held an enormous amount of love for her family. Her eyes would sparkle and her face beamed with pride when she spoke of her family.  Her love for them was powerful and so pure. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister in Christ.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Billie Terry and father, Clarence Pyles.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Mann; daughters and sons-in-law: Holly (Stacy) Boyd and Katie (Tommy) Motley; son: Stryder Maddox; grandchildren:  Chasity and Collin Massey, Makaylee Boyd, and Ciara Maddox; special grandchildren: Bo Boyd, Keley McGill, and Alexis and TJ Motley;  great grandchildren: Zane, Ryker, and Cayson Boyd, and Kaylaha and Octavia Bartlett; special great grandchild: Brennon Conley; loving sisters: Kay and Kristie; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment Services for Kathy will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. in the Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. Eric Greeson officiating.  In the event of inclement weather, the funeral service will be moved to the chapel.

Kathy will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Imagine how powerful and amazing it would be if Kathy could tell the story of what its like to be in heaven right now.  We believe she would begin by reminding everyone how important it is to know Christ and to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Then she would perhaps remind us all to take our time, rejoice always, and keep writing our story with purpose here below, knowing one day we can tell her all about it on the other side.
