Mrs. Katie Hite Phagan Forsythe

Mrs. Katie Hite Phagan Forsythe, age 85, of Snellville, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Halcyon Hospice House in Sandy Springs following an automobile accident that happened in June. Mrs. Forsythe was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 13, 1930, daughter of the late Arthur Glenn Hite and Ada Lee Williams Harper. She attended the Bethany Baptist Church, and was retired from GSA where she worked as a quality control technician. Mrs. Forsythe love to travel, square dance and collecting dolls and figurines. Following her retirement, she spent time helping build group homes for the mentally challenged. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Forsythe was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Forsythe; stepfather, Paul Harper; , sister, Polly Oglesby; and brothers, Bobby Jack Hite, William Hite and Dick Hite. Mrs. Forsythe is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William Jack and Johanna Phagan, John T. and Donna Phagan and James A. Phagan; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and John Harms; grandchildren, Amber Thomas, Dustin Phagan, Haylee Phagan, Jennifer Harper, Kristin Phagan and Lauren Green; 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at Bethany Baptist Church at 12:00 Noon followed by the graveside service. Memorial Graveside services for Mrs. Forsythe will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, Georgia.
