Mr. Kenneth Lee Kinsey

May 15, 1945 — June 15, 2018

Mr. Kenneth Lee Kinsey, age 73 of the Spring Creek Community, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 following an extended illness.

Mr. Kinsey was born in Chattooga County on May 15, 1945, son of the late Gordon “Runt” Kinsey and Jessie Peppers Kinsey. He was a member of the East Trion Church of God, and prior to retirement, was employed in the Finishing Plant at Mt. Vernon Mills. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by many. He enjoyed hunting, working and whittling with wood and had received many awards for his skill in archery. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kinsey was preceded in death by a wife, Sally Espy Kinsey; son, Kenny Kinsey; a sister, Joyce “Sally” Kinsey and a brother, Ronald Kinsey.

Mr. Kinsey is survived by his wife, Sue Kinsey; children, Gordon and DaVonna Kinsey, Jr. Norrod, Alisha and Shawn Montecupo; Joshua and Rebecca Clark, Joseph and Tianna Brown and Cheyenne and Zack Anderson; special daughter-in-law, Mindy Kinsey; brothers, Carl (Kay) Kinsey, Bill (Jerri) Kinsey, Tommy(Olivia) Kinsey, Donald Kinsey and Jimmy(Linda) Kinsey; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, numerous friends and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Kinsey will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at the East Trion Church of God with Pastor Douglas Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Coley, Blake Jones, Eddie Lively, Jeff Coley, Steve Clowdis, and Donnie Goodson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Anderson, Larry Maddux, Norman Cooper and the congregation of the East Trion Church of God.

Mr. Kinsey will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. On Wednesday, Mr, Kinsey will be carried to the church at 2:00 P.M., there to lie in state until the funeral hour. At other hours, the family can be contacted at 2123 Jones Street, Summerville.
