Kevin R. Derusha

Mr. Kevin Rae Derusha, age 62 of Lafayette, Georgia, formerly of Denver, Colorado and Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away March 27, 2026 in a Lafayette Healthcare Center.

Kevin was born in Marquette, Michigan on July 12, 1963, son of William Derusha and the late Jo Ann Burkhalter Derusha. He was of the Christian Faith and was a retired cook. Kevin attended Eisenhower High School in Utica, Michigan; loved nature and enjoyed playing his vinyl albums.

In addition to his mother, Kevin was preceded in death by his step-mother, Caryn Derusha.

Kevin is survived by his father, William Derusha; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Kim Derusha; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Eric Wren; niece, Jessica Derusha; nephews, Stephan Derusha, Ben Pick, Darek Pick and Sebastian Wren; great nephews, Roman Derusha and Hunter Derusha; and a number of cousins and extended family members.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Pruitt Healthcare at Shepherd Hills for the care and service shown to Kevin while he was a patient there.

In accordance with his family’s wishes, Kevin will be cremated and the family may hold a memorial service in Michigan at a later date.
