Mr. Larry David Holbrooks, Sr.

Mr. Larry David Holbrooks, Sr., age 74 of Trion, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

Mr. Holbrooks was born in Trion, Georgia on June 15, 1946, son of the late Robert LD Holbrooks and Nona Ray Holbrooks.  He was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church and was retired from Riegel/Mt. Vernon Mills after 47 years of service, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.  Mr. Holbrooks was a veteran on the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War, and was a member and past commander of the VFW and a member of the American Legion.  He also served on the Trion City School Board and the Trion City Council.  He was very active in many sports including playing with the former Riegel Rifles Softball team.  He enjoyed playing golf, but his favorite past time was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Holbrooks is survived by his wife, Glenda Holbrooks; daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Mike Hawkins and Amy and Mike Morrison; sons, David Holbrooks and Matthew Holbrooks; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Ralph Grede; grandchildren, Mackenzie Morrison, Jaden Morrison and Jackson Morrison; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Private Committal services for Mr. Holbrooks will be held in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be sons, grandsons and sons-in-law.

There will be no formal public visitation.
