Mr. Larry Coleman Ray, age 77 of Trion, Georgia passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at a Rome hospital.

Mr. Ray was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on December 11, 1947, son of the late Ernest Coleman Ray and Dolly Smith Ray.  He was retired from the Dye House at Mt. Vernon Mills and was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church.  Mr. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Navy, serving as a communications/radio man during the Vietnam War.  He was an avid Baseball fan, a huge Kentucky Basketball fan, loved NASCAR, and was always ready to watch Westerns.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Clark Ray; son, Chris Ray and a daughter, Windy Ray Campbell.

Mr. Ray is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ernest and Robin Ray; sister-in-law, Wendy Michelle Ray; sister, Pat Owens; two brothers, Jimmy Ray and Terry Ray; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and the friends and staff of Seven Hills Square Assisted Living Center in Rome.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Coffman Funeral Home.

Private Memorial Services will take place at a later date.
