Mrs. Lillie "Aunt Mae" Hunt, age 91 of Conway Drive, Trion, GA passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hunt was born May 1,1920 in Dekalb County, AL. She was a homemaker and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, sang in the choir and the chorus, and was officer in the Ladies Mission Group. Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Hunt; parents, James and Eula Baker Evans; brother, Grady Evans; sisters, Minnie Bowlin, Beatrice Parker, and Jessie Hearlson. Mrs. Hunt is survived by sons and daughters-in-laws, James and Linda Hunt of Summerville, GA and Chester and Gail Hunt of Trion, GA; grandchildren, Chad Hunt, Nick Hunt, Adam Hunt, Nicole Hunt, and Penni Ware; 8 great-grandchildren; special niece, Betty Ridley; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery. Mrs. Hunt will lie-in-state Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Chris Russell, Scotty Russell, Eugene Ridley, Steve Barnes, Dennis Lindsey, and Mike Ware. Honorary Pallbearers will be residents of Gold Leaaf Apartments, Trion, GA, members of the Corinth Baptist Church, and members of the West Summerville Baptist Church.
