Mrs. Loretta Dover

Mrs. Lillie Loretta Dover, age 76 of Summerville, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Floyd Medical Center. Mrs. Dover was born in Trion, Georgia on May 7, 1941, daughter of the late Eugene Jesse Wilkerson and Lillie Mae Simpson Wilkerson. She was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church. She had a small shop in her home where she loved to fix hair for her friends and in her spare time, loved to get out and drive. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by a son, David Eugene Dover. Mrs. Dover is survived by her children and their spouses, Steve and Melanie Dover, Terry and Debbie Dover, Robbie and Cathy Dover and Tina and Kenneth Moore; a sister, Linda Wilson; special friends, Mary Childers and Savannah "Pug" McWhorter; eight grandchildren, Scotty Dover, Brian Dover, Chris Dover, Josh Hampton, Christie Aldridge, Ricky Dover, Autumn Hampton and Bobby Dover; several great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Dover will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Dover, Scotty Dover, Chris Dover, Ricky Dover, Bobby Dover and Josh Hampton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dustin Hughes, Stacey Aldridge, Nathan Dover and the Staff of Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Dover will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
