Mr. Lumas E. "Bud" Rampley, age 92, of Trion, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama. Mr. Rampley was born in Chattooga County, Georgia on August 18, 1921, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Rampley. He was a member of the Trion First Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Air Corps, and prior to retirement, was employed with Riegel/Mt. Vernon Mills as a Packing Department Supervisor. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rampley was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Carol Rampley Gober. Mr. Rampley is survived by his wife, Pauline Carrol Rampley, son-in-law, Wm. Don Gober, two grandchildren, Nathan Eugene Gober and Melissa Carol Gober all of Oxford, AL; and a nephew, John "Binky" Dawson. Funeral Services for Mr. Rampley will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Dr. Floyd Roebuck officiating. Private Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Rampley will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour. Coffman Funeral Home, Petitt Chapel is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Lumas E. Rampley.
