Madora Medeline White

Mrs. Madora Medeline White of White Road, Lyerly, Ga. passed away Friday, September 30, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 10, 1923 in Chattooga County Georgia daughter of the late W.O. & Emma Carroll Allmon. She was retired from the Needling Department of Georgia Rug Mill and was a member of New Hope South Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell White and a number of brothers & sisters. Survivors include daughter & son-in law, Nancy & Dave Johnston, Lyerly; son & daughter-in-law Richard & Frances White, Lyerly; sister-in-law Frances White Lyerly; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. several nieces & nephews survive. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. from New Hope South Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Roach officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. White will lie-in-state at the Church from 2 until 4 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers include the following grandsons & great-grandsons: Chuck Petitt, Cass Petitt, Tony White, Zach White, Cale Pledger, Caleb Pledger. Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Medeline White who passed away on Friday.
