Mrs. Marandy Louise Calaway Jennings

Mrs. Marandy Louise Calaway Jennings, affectionately known as "NaNa", passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Jennings was born in Cedar Bluff, Alabama on September 20, 1941, daughter of the late Frank Calaway and Clara Mae Jenkins Calaway. She was a member of the Dry Valley Baptist Church and prior to retirement was employed with the Bosch Corporation. Mrs. Jennings loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and going on the many "adventures of Thelma and Louise." She enjoyed arts and crafts, working in her yard, shopping and visiting people at the Nursing Home. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jennings was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frank Jennings and a grandson, Benjamin Jennings. Mrs. Jennings is survived by her children, Joey and Jeffrey Jennings of Birmingham, AL; David and Cindy Jennings of Gainesville, and Melissa and Ron Finley of West Point, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Sandy Calaway of Ragland, AL and Chris and Linda Calaway of Trion, GA; sisters, Arline Womack of Lyerly and Pauline Kilgore of Trion; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren "with one on the way", and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Jennings will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Pettit Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Private Interment will follow be in the Cherokee Memorial Gardens in Centre, AL. Pallbearers will be members of the Men's Sunday School Class of the Dry Valley Baptist Church. Mrs. Jennings will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 P.M.
