Mrs. Margaret "Maggie" Crystal Faye (Shrader) Matthews

Mrs. Margaret Crystal Faye “Maggie” Matthews, age 50 of the Mountain View Community, Trion, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at a Rome Hospital.

Maggie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 8, 1971, daughter of David Shrader and the late Patricia Ann Roland Massey.  She attended the Fellowship Baptist Church and was retired from Pruitt Healthcare in Lafayette.  She enjoyed reading, cooking, collecting collectables, thrifting and working with her succulent gardens.  In addition to her mother, Maggie was preceded in death by a brother, David Glen Shrader and an infant sister.

Maggie is survived by her husband, Joe Matthews; sons, Nathan Shrader (Dallas Kirven), David Matthews(Natalie) and Seth Matthews; father, David Shrader(Shelia Bell), stepmother, Dr. Sandra Monk; brothers, Johnathan “John” Shrader(Elise Bares) and Patrick Staggs; grandchildren, Skyler Renfroe and Maleaha “Lee-Lee”  Pickard; her fur babies, Mimi and Boo; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Maggie will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 8:00 P.M. in the chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Norton and Rev. Rickey Biddle officiating.

Maggie will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
