Mrs. Margaret Lee Hite Beck

Mrs. Margaret Lee Beck, age 83, of Smyrna, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Beck was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 30, 1933, daughter of the late David Alexander Lord and Margaret Lucile Bryant Flateau. She was a member of the Hurt Road Baptist Church, and prior to retirement, was employed as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Beck loved spending time with her family and was always active in her grandchildren's activities and interests. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Jack Hite; sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Doyle Burnley; and step-sons, Wayne Lynn Hite and Phillip Andrew Hite. Mrs. Beck is survived by her step-son and daughter-in-law, Steven A. and Pam Hite; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda L. and Wayne Teal and Sandra E. and Mike Thomas; sisters-in-law, Katie Forsythe and Louise and John Harms; grandchildren, Chris Hite, Jason Hite, Alicia Mitchum, Selyna Rosenberg, Elizabeth Hampton, Bobbie Lynn Hite, Travis Hite, James Thomas, Zachary Thomas, Jamey Coffman, Dondee Hite, Hope Frazier, Jennifer Hite, Xander Hite and Emily Hite; and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial Services for Mrs. Beck will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hurt Road Baptist Church with Senior Pastor Mike Parker officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 P.M. in the Fairview Cemetery, Stockbridge, GA. The family will gather at the Hurt Road Baptist Church where they will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until the hour of service.
