Mrs. Marie Cofield

Mrs. Marie J. Cofield, age 89, of Trion, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Cofield was born in Dawson, Alabama on September 15, 1926, daughter of the late John Marion Fraiser and Lizar Stephenson Fraiser. She was attended the New Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cofield was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Cofield, sister, Odell Smith, and brothers, Rassie Fraiser and Henry Fraiser. Mrs. Cofield is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Lee Cooper of Trion; sister, Jeannette Hammond of Summerville; grandchildren, Casey (Tammy) Wallin, and Starr (Steve) McGill; great grandchildren, Savanna McGill, Sophie McGill, Brody Ward and Sadie Wallin; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Cofield will be held Monday, November 2, 20015 at 3:00 P.M. in the Pettit Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Mr. Steve McGill officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Cooper, Ricky Hammond, Robby Dalton, Steve Morgan and Steve McGill. Honorary Pallbearers will be Annie Hogue, Terra Turner, Phyllis Spain and Kathy Blackmon. Mrs. Cofield will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:30 until the funeral hour.
