Mrs. Marilyn Gaye "Nanny" Craig

Mrs. Marilyn Gaye “Nanny” Craig, age 73 of the Berryton Community, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at the Floyd Medical Center. Mrs. Craig was born in Trion, Georgia on July 27, 1945, daughter of the late Claude Pettyjohn and Lora Lee West Pettyjohn. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed helping look after her neighbors. She worked at several textile mills, but retired from OMC and Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Craig was preceded in death by a son, Robert “Porky” Craig; daughter, Jerrie “Lynn” McCullough, sisters, Dollie Mae Pettyjohn and Geraldine Pettyjohn; and brothers, Claude “Buddie” Pettyjohn, Jess “Bill” Pettyjohn and her twin, Marion Ray Pettyjohn. Mrs. Craig is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Robert Sizemore; son-in-law, Terry McCullough; sisters and brother-in-law, Christene and Charlie Sprayberry and Genevelyn Pegg; a special grandson, William Ty Craig; additional grandchildren, Ashley Broom and Blake Sizemore; great grandchildren, Jayden Broom, Kaydence Broom, Payton Sizemore and Avery Reagan; special friend, Ann Harris and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Craig will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Rickey Biddle officiating. Interment will follow in the Berryton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Blake Sizemore, Casey Evans, Milton Evans, Trampus Kiser, Steven Craig and Bubba Craig. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Mitchell, Tony Pegg and Michael Pegg. Mrs. Craig will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
