Mr. Marshall Dale Buffington

Mr. Marshall Dale Buffington, Sr., age 75 of the Welcome Hill Community, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Buffington was born in Trenton, Georgia on December 28, 1944, son of the late Willis “Ted” Buffington and Janie Mae Raines Buffington. He was an avid fisher and loved to hunt. He was retired from Mohawk Industries. In addition to his parents, Mr. Buffington was preceded in death by a sister, Nettie Weeks; brothers, Franklin D. Buffington, Willis Buffington, James Ray Buffington and Donnie Ray Buffington; and a grandson, Eric Raines.

Mr. Buffington is survived by his wife, Charlotte Eaker; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Angel Buffington; daughter, Ann Raines; brothers, Bert Buffington and Ronne Buffington; sister, Connie Dilbeck; two grandchildren, Erica Raines and Summer Burrage and a number of niece and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 shelter in place order, memorial services for Mr. Buffington will be announced once the order has been rescinded.
