Mrs. Martha Jean Cordle

Mrs. Martha Jean Cordle, age 71 of Lafayette, Georgia passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Cordle was born in Trion, Georgia on April 18, 1950, daughter of the late John Henry Rosser and Lena Marie Thrasher Rosser. She had attended the Welcome Hill Baptist Church and was retired from the cloth room at Mt. Vernon Mills. She enjoyed watching TV, talking on the phone and listening and watching the Gaither Homecoming Videos. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cordle was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Clarice Cordle; and brothers, James Henry Rosser and William Trent Rosser.

Mrs. Cordle is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Shonna and Danny Greene and Monica and Matt Weaver; son and daughter-in-law, Micheal and Michelle “Bonnie” Cordle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Lois Rosser and Stan and Linda Rosser; grandchildren, Aaron Greene, Thiamine Weaver, Caleb Willingham, Hannahstaysia Weaver, Austin Cordle, Mackenzie Greene, Manson Weaver, Savannah Greene and Micheal Cordle, II; great grandchildren, Carson Greene and Riley Weaver; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment Services for Mrs. Cordle will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Matthew Willingham officiating.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Greene, Thiamine Weaver, Caleb Willingham, Austin Cordle, Micheal Cordle, II, Manson Weaver, Matt Weaver, and Danny Greene.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Hannahstasia Weaver, Mackenzie Greene, Savannah Greene, Riley Weaver and Carson Greene.

Mrs. Cordle will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 P.M.
