Martha Ann Potts

Mrs. Martha Ann Potts, age 70 of Summerville, GA passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011. She was born January 22, 1941 in Rome, GA. Mrs. Potts was retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Hays Correctional Institute and was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Potts was preceded in death by her husband, James Vernon Potts; son, Randall Potts; father and mother, Bernell Atchley and Azzie Lovelss Atchley; and a brother, Darnell Atchely. Mrs. Potts is survived by daughter, Melissa Barnett of Trion, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Patty Potts of Rock Spring, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Chuck Rollins of Trion, GA; sisters, Glenda Noles of and Betty Simpson of Summerville; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside and Interment services will be conducted Friday, August 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Leon Craig officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 26, 2011 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Pallbearers will be Keith Rollins, Kevin Rollins, Jonathon Potts, Ryan Potts, Austin Akery, and Blake Hood.
