Mrs. Mary Ruth Broyles

Mrs. Mary Ruth Broyles, age 74 of Trion, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Broyles was born in Cherokee County, Alabama on May 21, 1946, daughter of the late Samuel Roy Boyd and Dovie Ruth Cavin Boyd.  She was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  She loved cooking, taking care of those around her, quilting and making crafts.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Broyles was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred Boyd, Billy Boyd, Roy Franklin Boyd and Jerry Boyd; and a son-in-law, Tommy Dye.

Mrs. Broyles is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roy Broyles; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Donald Cook; sister, Patty Lou Barnes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon Lee and Judy Boyd and Ronnie and Teresa Boyd; grandchildren, Brody Dye and Bonnie Cook; and a number of nieces, nephews and special friends.

Graveside and Interment services for Mrs. Broyles will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. in the West Hill Cemetery with Pastor Chris Holman and Bro. Micca Gillespie officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brody Dye, Robert Dooley, Payton Elliot, Stacey Boyd, Gabe Linam and Terry Eller.  Close Friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Due to the COVID-19 threat to our community, there will be no public visitation.  Those attending the graveside services are asked to assemble at the West Hill Cemetery.
