Mattie Grace Brown, age 79 of 120 McMillan Street, Summerville passed away, February 23, 2013 at her residence, She was born July 9, 1933 in Chattooga Co., Georgia daughter of the late George & Mary Dawson Williams. She was retired from Mt. Vernon Reigel Textile and was of the Baptist faith.Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law Patsy & Junior Bowman, Summerville; brother, Walter Williams, Lafayette; several nieces & nephews also survive.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 25, 2013 at 2;00 p.m. from the Chapel of Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Norton officiating with interment to follow in West Hill Cemetery.Pallbearers are requested to meet at the Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. and include Jamey Cooper, Randy Hunter, Frank Smith, Kenneth Blansit, Dewayne Hampton & David Wilkerson. Honorary Pallbearers are the Ladies of Mt. View Baptist Church.Ms. Brown will lie-in-state at Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home on Monday where the family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements for Ms. Mattie Grace Brown who passed away on Saturday.
