Mrs. Maude Gertrude Millican

Mrs. Maude Gertrude Millican, age 91, of Gaylesville, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Millican was born in Lafayette, GA on February 11, 1923, daughter of the late B.D. McCauley and Eunice Azalea Burk McCauley. She was a member of the Church of Christ and prior to retirement, was employed as a sales representative with a grocery store and dress shop and was also a property manager. Mrs. Millican was an avid fisher and loved to play BINGO, work word puzzles and play cards. Mrs. Millican was preceded in death by her husband, William Hubert (W.H.) Millican; a brother, B.D. McCauley, Jr.; and 1 sister, Grace Agnew and daughter, Connie Lynn Brooks. Mrs. Millican is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Debbie Millican; sister, Clara Flood; grandchildren, Sherry Phillips Copeland, Terry Lee Millican, William Jeffrey Brooks, Jason Bart Brooks, Kelly Millican Harmon and Daniel Lamar Millican; 9 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Millican will be held Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Eddie McCauley officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bo Copeland, Glen Harmon, Jordan St. Peter, Gene Wesson, Tim Wesson and Neal Black. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Lee Millican, Daniel Millican, Jeff Brooks and Jason Brooks. Mrs. Millican will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
