Mr. Michael Wayne Kitchens

Mr. Michael Wayne Kitchens, age 74 of Chattanooga, TN, formerly of Trion, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 in a Rome Healthcare Facility. Mr. Kitchens was born in Trion, Georgia on January 23, 1942, son of the late Lee Kitchens and Grace Holbrook Kitchens McClellan. He was veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Era, and prior to retirement, was self employed as a truck driver. He loved to keep up with Current Events and Politics. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kitchens was preceded in death by his brother, Carlton Kitchens. Mr. Kitchens is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Nancy Kitchens; daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Stacy Rinehart and Jennifer and Shannon Romine; grandchildren, Gabriel Kitchens, Matt Rinehart, Garrett Rowlls, Allison Rowlls, Sydney Romine and Jaxten Romine; special companion, Mary Pettyjohn; nieces, Sharon Kitchens, Angie (Matt)Edwards, Christy Kitchens and a nephew, Andy (Cindy Kay) Kitchens. Memorial Committal Services for Mr. Kitchens will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 12:30 P.M. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force. In accordance with Mr. Kitchen's wishes, there is no visitation planned at this time.
