Mrs. Montine Anderson

Mrs. Montine Anderson, age 89 of Trion, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Oak View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Lafayette, Georgia on October 4, 1932, daughter of the late Judd Shipp and Fleeta Harris Shipp.  She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from the Imperial Cup Company.  She enjoyed reading her bible, working in her flower gardens, cooking for family and friends and taking care of her many pets.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. “Bud” Anderson; great granddaughter, Cali Lynn Anderson; a sister, Norma Shipp and a brother, Eugene Shipp; as well as several beloved pets.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her children, Terrell and Vicki Anderson, Randy Anderson, Jerry and Kay Anderson, Dickie and Cindy Anderson, Tim and Lynn Anderson and Nancy Griffith; step daughters, Frankie Lindsey and Jenny and Richard Williams; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; several beloved pets and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment Services for Mrs. Anderson will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2021 at 1:30 in the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Pace offciaiting.  Her children will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the New Bethel Baptist Church, Trion.

Mrs. Anderson will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M.
