Nancy Gail (Crabtree) Newton

Mrs. Nancy Gail Newton, age 75 of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Newton was born in Summerville, Georgia on June 30, 1949, daughter of the late Charles Wheeler Crabtree and Clara Maude Self Crabtree.  She was retired from the textile industry, having worked with Riegel/Mt. Vernon Mills and Mohawk Industries.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by a son, James Wheeler Newton; sisters, Sara Mae Henderson, Betty Battles, Peggy Sue Thomas and Ruth Smith; brothers, Clyde Crabtree and Bud Crabtree; and father of her children, Aubrey “Gomer” Newton.

Mrs. Newton is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Butch and Emilee Newton and Jason Newton; daughter and son-in-law, Jillian and Shannon Bartlett; brother, Randy Crabtree; grandchildren, Victoria Ashworth, Levi Brown, Melina Bartlett, Phoenix Bartlett, Amelia Parch, John Newton and Olivia Newton; great grandchildren, Peyton Ashworth, Keelan Ashworth, Orin Brown and Holden Brown; and a number nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Newton will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home.  Private Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Butch Newton, Jason Newton, Shannon Bartlett, Justin Ashworth, Randy Crabtree and Levi Brown.

The family of Mrs. Newton will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.
