Mrs. Orene Waters

Mrs. Georgia Orene Waters, age 94 of Rome, formerly of Summerville, GA passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at a Rome Healthcare Center. Mrs. Waters was born in Jamestown, Alabama on November 29, 1922, daughter of the late Ervin S. Moseley and Minnie Gertrude Tucker Moseley. She was a member of the Noble Church of God and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by sisters, Addie B. Parker, Gladys Sentell, Mamie Lou Crow and Lorene Hughes; brothers, James Moseley and Jesse Moseley and grandchildren, Kendra Waters and Michael Waters. Mrs. Waters is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and Barbara Waters and Kenneth and Sherry Waters; daughters and son-in-law, Virginia and Jim Chasteen and Brenda Ayers; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Waters will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, July 23, 2017 in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Chasteen and Rev. Brandon Bruce officiating. Interment will follow in Moseley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Waters, Chad Bernie, Austin Potts, Kelly Chasteen, Danny Hughes, and Charles Moseley. Mrs. Waters will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
