Phyllis Ann Middleton

Mrs. Phyllis Ann Middleton, age 72 of the Pennville Community in Summerville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at her residence.

Mrs. Middleton was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 7, 1953, daughter of the late Philip Ray Wilson and June Smith Wilson. She was a member of the United By Faith Baptist Church and was retired from Unique Fabricating, South, where she was a quality inspector and supervisor. Mrs. Middleton enjoyed playing games on her tablet and was a master Rummy player, but her favorite activity was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Middleton was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson Middleton, I; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Homer and Ruby Middleton.

Mrs. Middleton is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Middleton, II and his wife, Jennifer and Kevin and Mary Middleton, daughter, Kari Middleton; brother, Robert Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Valerie and Jack Kellett, June Beth Dunn and Patricia "Pat" Wilson; grandchildren, Thomas Middleton, III, Joseph Middleton, Austin Middleton, Kevin Middleton, Philip Middleton, Nathan Hines, Ansley Lowe, Destiny Lowe and Brooklyn Henderson; 14 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Middleton will be held Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. in the United By Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Barry Brown and Rev. John McGraw officiating. Interment will follow in the Summerville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Thomas Middleton, II, Kevin Middleton, Thomas Middleton, III, Joseph Middleton, Austin Middleton, Nate Middleton and Philip Middleton. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of United By Faith Baptist Church.

Mrs. Middleton’s family will receive friends at the Coffman Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. On Thursday, Mrs. Middleton will lie-in-state at the United By Faith Baptist Church where the family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
