R. W. "Dub" Williams

Mr. R. W. "Dub" Williams, age 95 of Wildlife Lake Road, Summerville, GA passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Oakview Nursing and Rehab Center.  Mr. Williams was born January 22, 1917 in Trion, GA.  He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, retired from Harriet Henderson Manufacturing and was a member of the Four Mile Baptist Church. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his 1st  wife, Jo Morris Williams; father and mother, Roy Williams and Floy Shelton Williams; and brother, Clifford Williams. Mr. Williams is survived by wife, Geneva Williams of Summerville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte & Archie Thomas of Culleoka, TN; step-daughter & husband, Sherry P. & Stacey Koonce of Summerville, GA; step-sons & wives, D. L. & Pam Powell of Broomtown, AL and Douglas and Effie Powell of Italy; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Graveside and Interment services will be conducted Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, GA with Rev. Mike Odum. There will be no visitation. Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
