Ricky Howell

Mr. Richard Eugene “Ricky” Howell, age 74 of Summerville, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at his residence.

Ricky was born in Harlan, Kentucky on October 10, 1950.  He was retired from Byars Engineering, where he worked as a Fiber Optic Field Engineer, and was also a great shade tree mechanic.  He was a member of the N. Georgia Cruisers and enjoyed working on older model cars.  Ricky was preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Mealor Ginnery; step-father, Dan Ginnery; and a step-daughter, Angie Ragland.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Linda Howell; son, Richard Dewayne Howell; grandchildren, Kandy Trammell, Stephaney Rich and Dexter Brown; great grandchildren, Lily Trammell, Brody Ward, Riley Trammell and Karmon Rich; one great-great grandson, Graham Trammell; and a number of additional family and friends.

Visitation for Ricky will be held at the Coffman Funeral Home on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
