Robert Wright Barr, Jr.

Mr. Robert Wright Barr, Jr. age 74 of Trion, GA passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at his residence.  Mr. Barr was born July 26, 1936, was retired from Mount Vernon Mills, Baptist by faith, and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Barr was preceded in death by wife, Mary Magdalene Chapman Barr; son, Robert Junior Barr; father and mother, Robert William Barr, Sr. and Thelma Morgan Barr; brothers, Frankie Barr and Delbert Barr; and sister, Bobbie Lively. Survivors are daughters, Wanda Sue Barr, Lisa Faye Barr, and Tammy Lorraine Barr of Alabama, Mary Alice Ashworth of Trion, GA, and Patricia Marie McKnney of North Platt, Nebraska; brothers, Guinn Barr, Donald Barr, and Ronald Barr of Summerville, GA; 12 grandchildren and 5 greeat-granchildren. Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Mr. Barr will lie-in-state on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
