Mr. Robert "Lenny" Browning

Mr. Robert Lindsey “Lenny” Browning, age 74 of Summerville, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Browning was born in Summerville, Georgia on November 3, 1946, son of the late D.B. Browning and Mary Lou Elsberry Browning.  He had attended the Old Way Baptist Church and prior to retirement was employed in the Textile Industry, but most recently was detailing cars.  He loved sports, especially football and was an avid NASCAR fan.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Browning was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Gail Baggett Browning, and a son, Richard Lindsey Browning; and a grandson, Elijah Mateo.

Mr. Browning is survived by a son, Todd (Jennifer) Browning; daughters, Becky Browning and Jennifer Browning; brother and sister-in-law, Teddy and Karen Browning; sister, Vickie Fulmer; grandchildren, Jessica and Domingo Mateo, Zackary and Heather Black, Austin Campbell, Destiny Browning, Murphy Alexis Browning, Devin Joe Campbell, Lindsey McKayla Browning, Ethan Adams and Evan Adams; great grandchildren, Alivia Mateo, Aiden Mateo, Avery Mateo, Trae Campbell, Zayden Campbell, Anna Silvers, Ian Black, Zoe Black, Kennedy Lee and Liam Lee, two on the way; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Browning will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Evans officiating.  Interment will follow in the Garrett Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Todd Browning, Austin Campbell, Alex Jones, Zackary Black, William Campbell, Cody Campbell, Billy Willingham and Tracy Evans.

Mr. Browning will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
