Robert Paul Vanco, Sr.

Mr. Robert Paul Vanco, Sr. age 79 of Trion, GA passed away Monday, September16, 2013 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Vanco was born on March 11, 1934 in Cleveland, OH.  He was retired from Mount Vernon Mills and was Catholic by faith.  Mr. Vanco was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Mr. Vanco was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Kathleen Collins Vanco. Mr. Vanco is survived by his wife, Jimmy Gail Wallace Vanco of Trion, GA; mother, Mae Wilds of Kingsport, TN; daughters and son, Virginia (Ronny) Mobley of Trion, GA, April Reynolds of Trion, GA, Robert Paul (Mandy) Vanco of Trion, GA, Shelley Vanco of Summerville, GA, and "Ivey" Iratta Tripp of Trion, GA; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Chip Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Robert Paul Vanco, Sr. will be Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Pallbearers will be Chris Brown,  Jody Stoner, Tommy Stoner, Barry Tapp, Larry Stoker, David Chambers, Ronnie Mobley, and James Mobley.
