Mrs. Ruth Lee Ragland

Mrs. Ruth Lee Ragland, age 96 of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at the Lanier Place Assisted Living Center in Cumming, Georgia.

Mrs. Ragland was born in Trion, Georgia on May 16, 1925, daughter of the late James Park Rape and Margie Essie Maddux Rape Railey.  She was retired from the State of Tennessee and the Federal Government where she worked as an accountant.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ragland was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold D. “Billy” Ragland; son, Billy Wayne Ragland; sisters, Cleo Ledford, Lula Cordle and Fanny Bell Rape and brothers, Kenneth Rape, Jerry Rape, Lamar Rape, Marshall Rape and Robert Rape.

Mrs. Ragland is survived by a sister, Louella House; special cousin, Linda Brumfield; special friend, Verlene Pope; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ragland will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Ford officiating.  Interment will follow in the Trion Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Randy Cleghorn, Edmond Brown, Michael Deyampert, Lewis Brown, Blake Brown and Garrett Brown.

Mrs. Ragland will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
