Mrs. Sharron Dale (Martin) Cochran

Mrs. Sharron Dale “Maw” Cochran, age 81 of Rome, Georgia passed away Monday, December 19, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Cochran was born in Trion, Georgia on February 4, 1941, daughter of the late Alonzo Martin and Foy Lee Coots Martin.  She was retired from the Lunchroom at Garden Lakes Elementary School, and was of the Baptist Faith.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafts, but her favorite activities were spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ray Cochran on March 5, 2020; sisters, Peggy Dooley and Ann Yancey; and a brother, Stanley Martin.

Mrs. Cochran is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jody and Tammy Cochran, Mark Cochran, Jackie and Rhonda Cochran and Steve and Lisa Cochran; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment Services for Mrs. Cochran will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Old Trion Cemetery with her nephews, Vergil Tudor and Rusty Dooley officiating.

Pallbearers will include Jacob Cochran, Grant Cochran, Wyatt Cochran, Owen Cochran, Mason Cochran, Mike Burnett, Taylor Woodrow, Cody Cochran and Ben Harrell.

The family will not have a formal visitation.

The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials contributions be made to the Jesse Tudor Heart Like Mine Scholarship Fund, In care of Jan Willingham United Community Bank, Rome or Summerville.
