Mrs. Shirley Bolin Walker

Mrs. Shirley Bolin Walker, age 84 of Summerville, passed away Friday, December 08, 2017 at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Walker was born in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, on October 28, 1933, daughter of the late Boyd Bolin and Mattie Morgan Bolin. She was a member of the Pennville Missionary Alliance Church, a member of the Summerville Silver Sneakers, and prior to retirement, was employed for many years with Trion City Schools as a First Grade Teacher. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ray Walker; sons, Kevin Walker and Pat Walker; and a grandson, Andrew Walker. Mrs. Walker is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bevin and Rose Walker; a daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Jeffrey Trammell; grandchildren, Bo Walker, Robbie Walker, Amanda Walker, Laura Walker DeLay, Charles Parris, Anna Parris, Kyle Parris and Ray Trammell; 13 great grandchildren; and special friends, Margie Love, Brenda Kell, Evelyn Wofford, and Oneyda Payton. Funeral Services for Mrs. Walker will be held Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Pennville Missionary Alliance Church with Pastor Carlos Martines officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bo Walker, Charles Parris, Ray Trammell, Joey DeLay, Robbie Walker, Kyle Parris and Avery Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Pennville Missionary Alliance Church. Mrs. Walker will be in state at the Pennville Missionary Alliance Church, where the family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
