Syble Douise Purcell

Syble Douise Purcell, age 85 of 800 Patterson Road, LaFayette, GA passed away May 7, 2011 in Hutcheson Medical Center. Mrs. Purcell was born in Cherokee County, AL on May 18, 1925. She was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation and was a member of the Welcome Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Purcell was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert Stone and Ida May Arther Butler, and one brother and one sister. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Celia Purcell of Summerville, GA and Danny Purcell of Rome, GA; a sister, Melba Tinny of Rome, GA; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 5:00 PM from the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Terry Shores officiating. Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will meet at the graveside on Wednesday at 5:00 PM at West Hill Cemetery for the service. There will be no visitation.
