Mr. Thomas Leon Stephenson

Mr. Thomas Leon Stephenson, age 70 of Summerville, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the residence of his sister in Fort Payne, Alabama.

Mr. Stephenson was born in Whitwell, Tennessee on November 25, 1949, son of the late Mack Stephenson and Peggy Perry Stephenson.  He was retired from Mohawk Industries and was of the Baptist Faith.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Stephenson was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Stephenson on October 11, 2020; a sister, Alice Ivester, and  brother, Billy Ray Stephenson.

Mr. Stephenson is survived by a step-daughter, Misty Dawn Anderson; sisters, May K. Womack, Peggy Glen and Betty Tomlin;  grandchildren, David Cribbs, Rose Anderson and Samantha Anderson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Stephenson will be held Friday, November 27, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. John Mann officiating.  Interment will follow in the Subligna Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Travis Bohannon, Kyle Bohannon, Jeff Bohannon, Gene Bohannon, David Bohannon, Tim Bohannon, T.J. Bohannon and Cody Bohannon.

Mr. Stephenson will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.

The family of Mr. Stephenson, as well as the staff of Coffman Funeral Home, advise anyone that plans to attend the services, to please follow the CDC recommendations as it pertains to Social distancing and social gatherings.  Facemasks are not required, but are recommended.
