Mrs. Vera June Day

Mrs. Vera June Day, age 86, of Trion, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Day was born in Berea, Alabama on September 18, 1929, daughter of the late Robert Boyd and Alice Rachel Cash Boyd. She was a member of the North Summerville Baptist Church, and prior to retirement, was employed as a mender with Mohawk Industries. Mrs. Day was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers. Mrs. Day is survived by a son, Greg Day; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jimmy Williams; special friend, Jennifer Rosson; grandchildren, Allison Lyons, Shadow Day, Corey Day and Casey Day; and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Day will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charlie Woody, Blaine Woody, Alan Mowry, Donnie Rutledge and Justin Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Hearth Hospice. Mrs. Day will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
