Mrs. Vivian Faye Shireman

Mrs. Vivian Faye Shireman, age 78 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Shireman was born in Summerville, Georgia on September 12, 1942, daughter of the late Howard Leath and May Owen Leath.  She was a member of the New Antioch Baptist Church and was retired from the Finishing Lab at Mt. Vernon Mills.  She enjoyed reading, traveling and attending church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shireman was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Lynn Brown; son, Gary Chamlee; a grandson, Shane Chamlee and a sister, Joyce Long.

Mrs. Shireman is survived by her husband, Doug Shireman; son and daughter-in-law, Bo and Lydia Chamlee; daughter, Barbara Moorehead; brother and sister-in-law, Buck and Barbara Leath; sister, Christine Silvers (Johnny Abernathy); grandchildren, Casey Brown, Jeremy Chamlee, Jason Moorehead and Michael Moorehead; great grandchildren, Dexter Brown, Taylor Chamlee, Colson Chamlee and Grayson Chamlee; special friends, Carolyn Barksdale, Harold and Brenda Helton and Terry and Kathy McPhail; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Shireman will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Helton officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Casey Brown, Jeremy Chamlee, Taylor Sims, James Hughes, Derrick Parrish and Freddie Hughes.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ladies Sunday School Class of New Antioch Baptist Church.

Mrs. Shireman will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.

The family of Mr s . Shireman asks that anyone attend ing the services, to please follow the CDC guidelines as it pertains to social distancing and social gatherings , and to  please wear a facemask .
