Wayne Adam Mayes

Wayne Adam Mayes, age 93 of Halls Valley Drive, Trion, GA passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at his residence.  Mr. Mayes was born October 20, 1919 in Takoma Park, Maryland.  Mr. Mayes graduated from Takoma Academy in 1938 and Ben Franklin University in 1940.  Mr. Mayes was a Veteran of the United States Army,  was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and Maranatha International. Mr. Mayes was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia McClellan Mayes; father and mother, William Wesley Mayes and Catherine Clevenger Mayes. Mr. Mayes is survived by daughter, Sandra Sweeney of Trion, GA and sons, Larry Wayne Mayes of Midland, Texas and William Dale Mayes of Trion, Ga; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. At Mr. Mayes request there will be no services.
