Willie Ruth Tucker

Mrs. Willie Ruth Tucker, age 92 of Allen Street, Summerville, GA passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Oakview Nursing & Rehab Center.  Mrs. Tucker was born August 6, 1920 in Trion, GA.  She was retired from Best Manufacturing and was a member of the Trion Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Tucker; and her father and mother, Chester Boyd and Cora Mae Stiles Lancaster. Mrs. Tucker is survived by her children, G. Dwayne (Lynn) Tucker of Pensacola, FL, Larry Joe (Mavis) Tucker of Gaylesville, AL, Randy Tucker of Summerville, GA, & Sandra (Glenn) Sharp of Summerville, GA; sister, Katie (Troy) Bigham of LaFayette, GA; 11 grandchildren & 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Russell officiating.  Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Tucker, Stacy Crabtree, Brent Bigham, Larry Higgerson, Daniel Boutwell, and Derry Maddux and they are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
