Mrs. Betty Louise Williams, age 82 of Trion, Georgia passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Williams was born in Summerville, Georgia on January 30, 1941, daughter of the late Ralph Watkins and Jewel Pack Watkins. She was retired from the Cloth Room at Mt. Vernon Mills and was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Williams was a former Avon Representative and enjoyed shopping. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Julian “Cat” Williams; sister, Faye Williams; and two brothers, Frankie Watkins and Edward “Buddy” Watkins.
Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Trena nd Denny Strickland; son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Melinda Tucker; sisters and brother-in-law, Maggie Tucker, Joyce and Alvin Grogan and Shirley Ratliff; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil Watkins, Paul and Bobbie Watkins, Sherman Watkins, David and Diane Watkins and Ray and Linda Watkins; grandchildren, Jason and Selena Tucker and Amy and Steve Helms; great grandchildren, River Tucker, Nevaeh Helms, Anthony Helms and Chevee Helms; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Williams will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Norton officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Green, Jason Tucker, David Lloyd, Dewayne Tinney, Max Tucker and Gary Smith.
Mrs. Williams will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
