Charles Truman Mitchell, Jr.

Mr. Charles Truman Mitchell, Jr. age 69 of Menlo, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Summerville, Georgia on August 7, 1954, son of Charles Truman Mitchell, Sr. and the late Betty Esther Chastain Mitchell.  He had attended the Sonrise Community Church and was retired form Mohawk Industries, where he was an Electronic Techinician.  Mr. Mitchell was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Chattooga Masonic Lodge #704.  He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and riding his four wheeler, but his favorite activity was spending time with and caring for his family.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Debbie Mitchell; daughter and son-in-law, Chastity and Lamar Coleman; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Allison Mitchell; Father, Truman Mitchell; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Jerry Lewis; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Melody Mitchell; grandchildren, Logan Coleman, Morgan Coleman and Kylie Mitchell; great grandchildren, Luca Coleman and Rhett Cameron; Aunt and mother figure, Linda Abernathy; and a number of nieces and nephew.

According to Mr. Mitchell’s wishes, he will be cremated and the family may hold a memorial service at a later date.
