Dorothy Evelyn Rich

Mrs. Dorothy Evelyn Rich, age 82 of Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023 in a Lafayette Care Center.

Mrs. Rich was born in Trion, Georgia on October 16, 1941, daughter of the late William Rich and Pearl Potts Rich.  She attended the Summerville Pentecostal Worship Center and was the owner of Heart of Chattooga Van Shop, a Salvage Store and a Grocery Store in the Mountain View Community.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rich was preceded in death by a sister, Rosie Rich and brothers, Lamar Rich, William F. Rich and Fred Rich.

Mrs. Rich is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne Chapman, Sandra and James Armistead, Wendy and Mark Bryson and Deborah Hart; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy Ivester, Terry Ivester and Roger and Judy Hart; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Shelia Rich; sisters, Nell Timmons and Patricia Westbrooks; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment Services for Mrs. Rich will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1:30 P.M. in the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Andy Hutchins and Rev. Gary Howell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Bryant, Kameron Wilson, A.J. Smith, Donavan Ivester, Daniel Weathers and Tony Rich.

There is no formal visitation, and those attending the graveside are asked to assemble at the West Hill Cemetery.
