Linda Joyce (DeBerry) Shaver

Mrs. Linda Joyce Shaver, age 75 of Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 in a Rome hospital.

Mrs. Shaver was born in Menlo, Georgia on November 30, 1947, daughter of the late Ennis Harold DeBerry and Cecil Loraine Nelson DeBerry.  She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and was retired from the Packing Department of Riegel/Mt. Vernon Mills.  She enjoyed sewing, reading and cooking, but really enjoyed watching her hummingbirds.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shaver was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Rosson and Debra England; and brothers, Harold DeBerry, Jimmy DeBerry, Terry DeBerry and Fred DeBerry.

Mrs. Shaver is survived by her husband, Bobby Shaver; Daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Jamie Smith; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Christina Shaver; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry DeBerry and Bill and Elaine DeBerry; sister-in-law, Mary Elicker; grandchildren, Ragen McGraw (Alec Redden), Jason (Crystal) Shaver and Brady Shaver; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Shaver will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Sanford DeBerry officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Jamie Smith, Alec Redden, Jeff Shaver, Lamar DeBerry, Matt Rosson, Jason Shaver, Brady Shaver and Bert Hines.

Mrs. Shaver will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
