Mrs. Brenda Dooley Blalock

Brenda Dooley Blalock’s faith turned into sight on May 21st, 2021.

Brenda was born in Lafayette, Georgia on September 17, 1949, daughter fo the late Rev. Sidney L. Dooley and Margie Lee Christopher Dooley.  She resided in Summerville, GA most of her life, and graduated from Chattooga High School in 1969. Brenda was most recently employed in the pharmacy department at the Trion Wal-Mart, but her most favorite job was being a Nana and G-Nana. Brenda was feisty but full of grace, and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.  In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristy Maynard; son, Matthew Blalock; a sister, Mary Dooley Atkins; and two brothers, Randy Dooley and Alvin Dooley.

Brenda is survived by a large loving family, including: her husband of 28 years, Steve Blalock; Step-Mother, Betty Dooley; Sons and daughters-in-law, Mitch and Kathy Maynard and Wesley and Louann Blalock; daughter-in-law, Laura Blalock; daughter and son-in-law,  Misty Maynard & Jeremie Wallin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny & Sandra Dooley, Leon and Charlotte Dooley and Terry & Beth Dooley; Sisters-in-law, Donnie Dooley and Bonita Dooley Berry; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Melissa Ann & Zach Duggan, Tiffany Maynard, Zoie Cordle, Danielle Cordle and Maddie Blalock; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Cody & Brittany Maynard, Josh Cordle, Noah Cordle, Steven Blalock, Matthew Gold and Logan Blalock; great grandchildren, Layla Woods, Simon Duggan,  Isaac Cordle and William Maynard; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Brenda will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Spears officiating.  Interment will follow in the Perennial Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Cordle, Noah Cordle, Zach Duggan, Cody Maynard, Jeremie Wallin and Rany Tibbs.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Melissa Duggan, Tiffany Maynard, Brittany Maynard, Zoie Cordle and Danielle Cordle.

Brenda will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
