Mrs. Charlotte Annelle Pinion Milstead, age 72 of Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday afternoon at her residence.
Mrs. Milstead was born in Summerville, Georgia on August 14, 1950, daughter of the late Joseph Clifton Pinion and Faithful Shirley Hughes Pinion. She was retired from Shaw Industries and was of the Christian Faith. Mrs. Milstead was an avid UGA and Alabama Football fan, only dropping her loyalty to Alabama when they played Georgia. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Milstead was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Pinion and David Pinion; granddaughter, Jaden Mitchell and a great granddaughter, Ravyn Jane Neal.
Mrs. Milstead is survived by sons, Charles Milstead, Jr. (Margaret Grizzel), Richard Milstead, Daniel Milstead; daughters and son-in-law, Kathy and Wayne Gentry and Belinda Milstead; step-daughters, Debra(Keith) Farmer, Dana(Keith) Dupree, and Kim Dean; brother, Gerald Pinion; sisters, Barbara St. Clair and Joann Reed; 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Milstead will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Smith and Rev. Charles Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will include Tory Bray, Alijah Neal, Wayne Gentry, Logan Pinion, Douglas Grizzel, Kyle Grizzel, Charles Milstead, III, Thomas Scott and Joe Gentry.
Mrs. Milstead will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.
